Which format is best for me/us?

Half-day intensives primarily benefit individuals with single-incident traumas (car accidents, natural disasters, job loss). However, trauma is complicated, and at times, single-incident traumas are multi-layered due to our unique life experiences and may require more time to process.  Half-day intensives may also benefit couples who need minor tweaks in communication, and help with life transitions (empty-nesters, loss of job).  A half-day can also be a “jump-start” for ongoing EMDR therapy.

The weekend and 5-day intensives are structured for those with complex trauma (sexual, physical, and emotional abuse occurring in childhood or repeatedly as an adult. These formats are also designed for couples addressing:

  • Trauma: One or both partners dealing with an unresolved trauma impacting the relationship.

  • Poor communication: Frequent arguments, misunderstandings, difficulty expressing needs, or feeling unheard by your partner.

  • Trust issues: Infidelity, dishonesty, or past betrayals that have eroded trust within the relationship.

  • Lack of intimacy: Decreased physical affection, emotional closeness, or sexual dissatisfaction.

  • Unresolved conflict: Constant fighting, inability to compromise, or unresolved past issues

  • Emotional withdrawal: One partner emotionally distancing themselves from the other.

  • Financial stress: Disagreements about money management causing tension.

  • Parenting challenges: Different parenting styles or disagreements on child-rearing practices.

  • Mental health concerns: One partner is dealing with a mental health condition impacting the relationship.
